സാന്‍ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്കോ: ലോക പ്രശസ്ത തബല വിദ്വാന്‍ ഉസ്താദ് സാക്കിര്‍ ഹു സൈന്‍ (73) അന്തരിച്ചു. ഹൃദയസംബന്ധമായ പ്രശ്നത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലില്‍ ക്കെയാണ് അന്ത്യം സംഭവിച്ചത്.

അമേരിക്കയിലെ സാന്‍ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്കോയിലെ ആശുപത്രിയിലായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. ആരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്നത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് രണ്ട് ദിവസം മുന്‍പാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശുപ ത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്.

നാല് തവണ ഗ്രാമി സംഗീത അവാര്‍ഡ് നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. രാജ്യം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പത്മശ്രീ, പത്മഭൂഷണ്‍, പത്മവിഭൂഷണ്‍ എന്നിവ നല്‍കി ആദരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നടന്‍, സംഗീത സംവിധായകന്‍ എന്നീ നിലകളിലും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രശസ്തനാണ്.

1951 ല്‍ മുംബൈയിലാണ് സാക്കിര്‍ ഹുസൈന്‍ ജനിച്ചത്. പിതാവ് ഉസ്താദ് അല്ലാ രഖയുടെ കൈപിടിച്ചാണ് അദ്ദേഹം സംഗീത ലോകത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവരുന്നത്. ഏറെ ചെറു പ്രായത്തിലേ മഹാന്മാരായ സംഗീതജ്ഞര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹം തബല വായിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി. 18 ാം വയസില്‍ സിത്താര്‍ മാന്ത്രികന്‍ രവിശങ്കറിനൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹം കച്ചേരി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.

തുടര്‍ന്ന് ലോകമെമ്പാടുമായി നിരവധി വേദികളിലായി അദ്ദേഹം തബല വായിച്ചു. കേരളത്തോടും കേരളത്തിലെ താള വാദ്യങ്ങളോടും വലിയ ആത്മബന്ധം അദ്ദേഹം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

പല തവണ കേരളം സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചു. 2017 ല്‍ പെരുവനത്ത് എത്തിയ സക്കീര്‍ ഹുസൈനെ ഗ്രാമം ആവേശത്തോടെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അന്ന് പെരുവനം കുട്ടന്‍ മാരാര്‍, മട്ടന്നൂര്‍ ശങ്കരന്‍ കുട്ടി എന്നിവര്‍ക്ക് ഒപ്പം വേദി പങ്കിട്ടിരുന്നു.

കഥക് നര്‍ത്തകിയും അധ്യാപികയുമായ അന്‍റോണിയ മിന്നെകോലയാണ് ഭാര്യ. അ നിഷ ഖുറേഷിയും ഇസബെല്ല ഖുറേഷിയുമാണ് മക്കള്‍.
